Dear Parents of NHS Knights,
As mid-summer approaches, I hope you are enjoying beautiful weather and a respite from the hectic academic calendar. Our new school year is right around the corner, and we want to share how you can partner with other parents, teachers, students and staff to enhance your student's experience at NHS.
Why join PTSO?
-
Each family’s $35 membership fee provides for your child’s academic needs which are not met through county funding, by providing teachers the supplies and equipment they need to keep our classrooms top notch.
-
We work directly with the administration and staff to determine the greatest needs each year and then recruit parent volunteers and resources to help meet those needs. This year our focus is technology (details below.)
-
When you join, you gain access to the online membership directory, resources and information.
-
Joining PTSO unlocks reserved seating for home football games.
-
Did you know?
➢ From your $35 fee, $10 goes directly to your child’s graduating class for yearly expenses relating to
Homecoming events, Quest, Charge and eventually senior perks.
➢ Some of the items PTSO has coordinated funding for in the past include: new teacher start up supplies, staffing and supplies for Quest, water bottle filter fountains, specific science equipment, Chromebook and Laptop Computer carts, musical instruments for orchestra, white boards, culinary arts supplies, gym tarp, wings and cyclorama for theater, appliances for life skills class, fine arts enrichment, StrengthFinders training, bike racks, and office decor.
Please consider partnering with us as we work to support our fabulous school!
Thank you for your support,
